Shakespeare Must Die

Shakespeare Must Die

William Shakespeare's four tragic heroes appear in a sudden ruin. It is said that the witches visited them. King Lear, Macbeth, Othello, Hamlet then start talking among themselves. Can they free themselves from the crimes of their time by introspection and concerted effort?

How much has the tragic hero changed? Or even if they want, time will not let them change, the environment will want to keep them unchanged, that is their advantage. “Shakespeare Must Die” reflects that attempt to change and the doomed journey towards certain failure.

Director's Note

How many years ago, such plays were written by the great poet and playwright William Shakespeare. Which remained essential in the theatre practice of the whole world. In different colors, in different style, in different tones. Fraternal Sharanya said, what will happen if the four tragic heroes Macbeth, King Lear, Othello and Hamlet are seen?

In this play, the witches open the coffin and wake up these four characters. These are the four characters through various conversations and events, entering into their own lives, they repeat the same events again and again. Killing... killing and killing... "Shakespeare Must Die" is a theatre of digging up one dead-body and approaching another dead-body, all are doomed in this play, just like our lives. As a result, if someone looks beyond the foreign style and technique in this theatrical direction, you will see the contemporary time and life. I believe in theatre means talking about time.
